Next we caught up with Smári Ásmundsson, founder and CEO of Icelandic yogurt firm Smári Organics.
What trends are you tracking?
In general, and especially in yogurt it’s all about bringing the fat back, and we are leading that movement. In January we are launching four new whole milk flavors, and by then half of our product line will be whole milk.
It’s a very exciting time to be in food production. Consumers are realizing how important it is to eat whole foods, that are healthy, minimally processed and organic. I think we’ll continue to see more growth on those fronts in 2016.
