Hamlet Protein expands on demand for animal feed
Hamlet Protein is installing a new production line at its Ohio plant, having established a base there in 2012.
“We doubled our capacity there in 2014 and are expanding again in February with a new line,” said group marketing manager Anne-Mette Pedersen. “We will have six lines in Denmark and three in Ohio including the new one.”
Pedersen claimed poultry and pig farmers using its feed could gain “between five percent and 15% return on investment, depending on raw material prices”.
A recently completed project involving 20 multinational trials assessing Hamlet Protein’s HP 300 piglet weaning feed, for example, indicated significantly improved feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion ratio versus various other feeds.
