Kore Kitchen delivers meals with less waste
A major complaint about meal and meal kit delivery services is the waste they generate. But Los Angeles-based meal delivery company Kore Kitchen is doing its part to reduce waste. It recently switched to using meal containers made by Sabert from a byproduct of sugar cane processing called Bagasse. The material breaks down quickly in any home or commercial compost. The firm’s salad dressing containers are made of plant-based compostable plastic that also easily breaks down. Finally, the company uses glass bottles for smoothies, which it collects and reuses.
