Matcha isn’t just for sipping – with Koukla Delights it is for munching, too
Koukla Delights Inc.’s line of macaroons balance emerging, on-trend flavors with tried-and-true classics. The bite-size vegan cookies are sweetened with organic maple syrup as an homage to its Canadian roots, but feature global, increasingly popular flavors including matcha and matcha with cacao nibs. Despite consumer interest in these antioxidant rich ingredients, a spokeswoman said that the vanilla and plain cacao are the best-sellers. In addition, the company offers a cranberry maple granola cookie, which like the others, are dehydrated to preserve the natural vitamins and enzymes in the ingredients.
