METHODOLOGY: Most of the data in the report is from qualitative research conducted in the last quarter of 2016 and quantitative research conducted in the first quarter of 2017. New survey data was collected in the US from 2,145 regular shoppers of groceries aged 18+.
Virtual, in-home and in-store interviews and ethnographies captured insights in person from a 14 consumers from multi-shopper and single-person households. In- person interviews were conducted in the greater Atlanta area, and virtual interviews were fielded across the nation.
