Natural emulsifiers for flavors, preservatives
When it comes to stabilizing oil-based natural essential oils, flavors or preservatives, Naturex said customers are increasingly seeking out natural emulsifiers such as quillaia extract - which can replace DATEM - even though such 'incidental' ingredients don't appear on the ingredient label.
Samples on display at the Naturex booth included lemon rose green tea made with rose extract and a strawberry red color from black carrot and red radish; a blue antioxidant ice bar made with spirulina and acerola juice powder; and a yellow energy ice bar made with guarana and Naturex's new light-stable, neutral-tasting, fully traceable, organic compliant turmeric extract, extracted with ethanol.
