Koeze Company’s “retro” Cream-Nut appeals to consumer demand for authenticity
For more than a hundred years, Koeze Company as used the same techniques – and machinery – to make its slightly “toothy” creamy and crunchy peanut butter, and as a result it is smack on trend for authenticity, clean label and small batch production. A spokesman adds that the Cream Nut peanut butter also has a stronger peanut flavor than many competitors because it uses Virginia peanuts which are more expensive than other varieties, but also a higher quality. The company’s retro packaging also helps the product jump out on store shelves and tell the product’s “story” to consumers who increasingly want to know more about how and where products are made.
