Big brands can create authenticity in others ways. Look at Kraft Heinz tying up with Oprah [for its new O, That’s Good! range]. Who is more authentic than Oprah? There are ways for big brands to move into new categories and stay relevant; there’s partnerships, licensing, joint ventures, but it has to have authenticity or consumers will sniff it out.
