Mike Spanos (left), currently president of PepsiCo’s Greater China region, will become CEO, Asia, Middle East and North Africa, replacing Sanjeev Chadha (right), who will switch to the role of chairman of the region, before retiring in March.
"Mike has led our business in China through unprecedented change, growing our foods and beverage businesses and investing in our nutrition portfolio,” said PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi.
The following moves are also effective January 1, 2018:
• Ram Krishnan, currently SVP and general manager of the global PepsiCo Walmart business, will become president, Greater China Region (GCR), succeeding Spanos.
• Chris Turner, currently SVP of Transformation for Frito-Lay North America, will become SVP and general manager of the global PepsiCo Walmart business.
Separately, PepsiCo has also appointed Dave Yawman EVP, government affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary, replacing Tony West, who has chosen to depart the company for a role at Uber.
