Another food industry veteran, Jim Kirkwood, formerly chief science and technology development officer at General Mills, has joined Canadian bioengineering firm Noblegen - which is developing a new breed of designer oils, proteins, and nutraceuticals from an ancient single celled micro-organism called Euglena - as an official advisor.
Kirkwood will support the commercialization of Noblegen’s ngredients, as well as new product innovation, said Noblegen CEO Adam Noble: “Jim is bringing 38 years of experience to the Noblegen team, and we're already seeing the benefits of his wealth of knowledge and expertise."
