As we dive into the world of new product development (NPD) in this seasonal segment, it's clear that pumpkin spice is more than just a fleeting trend.

The beloved seasonal flavor – blending cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves – is driving innovation in a variety of products, from artisanal baked goods to trendy snacks. As consumers seek to indulge in seasonal comforts, brands are responding with a diverse array of pumpkin spice offerings, each aiming to capture the essence of fall in new and exciting ways.

Here is a short rundown of new and returning products, now available on supermarket shelves.

Bubbies Ice Cream brings back a seasonal favorite

This year’s limited-edition run is available in various pack sizes, including a 12-count and larger 36-count boxes for larger gatherings or dedicated fans, from major US retailers like Target and Walmart, for an RRP of $2.79 to $4.59.

Available again in 2024, it continues to be a hit among pumpkin spice enthusiasts looking for a festive morning treat. The 17.1 oz box is available at major US retailers like Target and HEB, for an RRP of $4.45.

Frito-Lay adds spice

Inspired by the classic Louisiana seasoning, Lay’s Kettle Cooked Cajun Spice brings together a delicious blend of peppers and fresh herbs and for a spicy but savory crunch.

Potato chip lovers will be also excited to find the Canadian favorite, Ruffles All Dressed, on store shelves across the US for a limited time. This highly-requested flavor offers a crunchy blend of tangy, savory and sweet flavors – all in one bite.
