One of the greatest challenges in formulating sugar-based confections with NATURAL Colors is to be able to achieve bright shades similar to those of FD&C Red 40 and Blue 1.
These bright shades of red and blue are also necessary to achieve vibrant shades of purple and green. Until recently, with the available natural colors it was only possible to achieve decent shades of pink, dull reds, and shades of blue, purple and green that were less than appealing to the eye.
However, with the advancement of technology, research and the recent approval of Spirulina as a food additive, ROHA’s shades of NATURAL red, blue, green and purple are now more vibrant and stable than ever before.
