Agro-firms Monsanto and Bayer CropSciences have entered into a
series of new agreements, which could result in crops that contain
two of the leading herbicide technologies - Roundup Ready and
Europe is edging slowly towards GM acceptance, according to
Monsanto CEO Hugh Grant, who underscored the continent's strategic
importance and said his company is laying the groundwork should a
policy-change come to pass.
Biotechnology firms Monsanto and BASF have entered into a research
and development agreement that aims to pool the companies'
resources in an effort to bring a greater number of traits to the
market at a faster speed.
