Coca-Cola will launch a line of fruit-flavored seltzer waters called 'Fruitwater' on April 1.

The waters - which will cost $1 to $1.25  - will be part of the company's Glaceau unit, which makes Vitaminwater and Smartwater.

Fruitwater will come in a specially contoured 16.9-ounce bottle, a spokeswoman told FoodNavigator-USA.

"Fruitwater is a great tasting, naturally flavored zero calorie sparkling water beverage.

"It is sweetened with sucralose, contains no juice and comes in five great tasting naturally fruit flavored varieties: black raspberry, orange mango, lemon-lime, strawberry kiwi and watermelon punch."

Questionable idea

Posted by Andrew,

I'm not sure if calling it FruitWater and putting fruit on the label is the right choice for a product that doesn't contain any fruit in it.
