Ken Roseboro, publisher of the Organic & Non GMO Report, thinks an unstoppable tide is building in favor of mandatory GMO labeling of foods.

Roseboro, who also publishes the Non GMO Sourcebook, which he says is the only reference work of its kind currently available, says from the increase in traffic on his website and Facebook pages, that consumer interest in the topic is ramping up in a big way.

"Now there are 30 or 40 non GMO groups out there and a lot of them started in just the last two years," he said. "We've got Non GMO Vermont and Non GMO Mississippi."

Roseboro said he's committed to mandatory non GMO labeling because of what he says are real concerns with the safety of these ingedients and the effect of the crops on the environment.

"There was a study in which hogs fed GMO ingredients developed stomach inflammation," he said.

"The GMO industry attacked this study, as they usually do of studies in this kind."

Roseboro also said that studies have found increasing use of agricultural chemicals with GMO crops and the proliferation of resistant weeds and pests, such as corn root worm.

All aboard!

Posted by Jennifer Christiano,

Mr. Roseboro is correct - the non-GMO train has left the station, and the number of passengers getting on board is increasing rapidly despite the best efforts of the biotech army to slap, sue, threaten, ridicule, blind and intimidate us into submission. Consumers are human beings, not test tubes on legs and economic units to be manipulated and used for the benefit of the biotech/pharma/ag industry and their political lapdogs. Thank goodness more people are waking up and reclaiming their right to a healthful, sustainable and socially uplifting food aupply!
