Calls for FDA to introduce tea fluoride safety standard

demanded that the FDA introduce a tea flouride safety standard
after recent research suggested that ingesting certain levels of
the chemical could be harmful, writes Philippa Nuttall.
European companies are increasing their presence in the green tea
extract market, looking to reach supplement makers with highly
concentrated products.
Food makers will be encouraged to use green and black tea in their
food formulations as science builds a picture of the possible
health benefits, most recently that they could improve memory.
