TreeHouse Foods completes Naturally Fresh acquisition
Private label products giant Treehouse Foods has completed its acquisition of Atlanta-based refrigerated dressings, sauces, marinades and dips maker Naturally Fresh, Inc. in a $25m deal.

Naturally Fresh, which has annual sales of around $80m, makes its products in single serve cups and pouches, tubs, retail glass and multi-serve foodservice packs under the Naturally Fresh brand and private label brands for leading food service distributors and retailers.

It has a food processing facility in Atlanta and seven distribution centers across the US.

Treehouse has leading positions in the private label market in nine categories including macaroni cheese, salad dressings, pickles, soup, and hot cereals.

According to market researcher Packaged Facts, sales of private label products in US food retailing are set to grow from $92bn in 2010 to $113bn in 2014, while their market share is predicted to rise from 19.1% to 23% over the same period.
