Kellogg re-launches Special K protein cereal

The Kellogg Company has reformulated its Special K Protein Plus cereal and pushed it as a favorable choice for consumers looking manage weight over the fall.

The cereal is part of its wider high protein range that includes bars and milkshakes.

It said it has reformulated the cereal and launched new flavors of its protein bars and shakes.

High protein cereal can help “those looking to manage their weight and outsmart hunger”, ​Kellogg said.

The firm cites a dietician that says the cereal is a favorable choice over regular proteins such as eggs or Greek yoghurts, as it is also rich in fiber.

It would be interesting to have both nutritional profiles to compare and to understand the differences in terms of composition, between the already existing Special K and the new cereals.
