Bureau Veritas strengthens position in Canada
The testing, inspection and certification services firm said the transaction is subject to regulatory approval, expected early this year.

Maxxam will continue under the same name as a separate Canadian entity; with no changes to business structure, people or processes.
It will allow the firm to use Bureau Veritas’ global and local networks, to exchange best practices and tap into an expanded offering of testing, inspection and certification services.
“This is an important step in the growth of Maxxam and one that enables us to stay focused on our customers, while significantly expanding the range of value-added services we can provide”, said Jon Hantho, Maxxam’s president and CEO.
