CP Kelco raising prices on Genu Pectin

Effective July 1, CP Kelco will raise prices on Genu Pectin products up to 10%, due to the cost increase of citrus peel, a key raw material used in pectin production.

The citrus crop harvest in the major growing areas of Argentina and Mexico has taken a hit due to poor weather and other agricultural conditions. And despite implementing productivity programs, the company has been unable to absorb the cost inflation resulting from availability tightness.

CP Kelco says it plans to accelerate its investment in expanding the raw material supply in other growing regions and is committed to advancing process technology that will improve the sustainable supply of Genu Pectin.
