FMC sells pectin division to Cargill, signals concern about omega-3s business

FMC Corporation has announced a restructuring of its pectin business in a deal with Cargill. This comes in the wake of disappointing overall earnings in the second quarter of 2015 and nutrition segment revenues that were impacted by continued slow demand for omega-3s.
Philadelphia-headquartered FMC Corporation has acquired UK-based natural colors producer Phytone Ltd, as part of a strategy to increase its natural colors capabilities, the company said.
