A range of chicken pizzas and lasagnes have been recalled by Nestle USA after customers complained of finding small pieces of glass in their food. 

Nestle USA is in the process of recalling over 200,000lb of chicken pizzas and lasagne ready meals after the company received multiple complaints from consumers claiming to have found glass in the food items.

A corporate statement from Nestle, said: “The quality and safety of our products are the top priority for our company. We apologise to our retail customers and consumers and sincerely regret any inconvenience created by this recall.​”

Various news outlets have reported that nearly three million meals made by the company could be affected, although Nestle has not commented on this yet.

A food safety alert from the US Food Safety Inspection Service said no reports of “adverse reactions​” related to the consumption of the Nestle products had so far been reported.
