NutriScience Innovations offers spray-dried lactoferrin
Connecticut-based NutriScience Innovations has launched a new spray-dried version of lactoferrin for supplements, foods and beverages.

Lactoferrin, a multifunctional protein of the transferrin family, as been recognized to exhibit various health benefits, with a range of functions including iron-binding ability, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activities.

NutriScience says this new innovation is important in that freeze dried and milled forms of the ingredient may result in particles that are more difficult to dissolve, reducing its beneficial qualities. Unlike those, NutriScience offers customers a spray dried Lactoferrin which is easily dissolved and thus maintains its beneficial qualities.

The company says its non-GMO Spray Dried Lactoferrin is recovered from premium milk collected from pasture fed cows and not from by-products. The company says the product meets a minumum 90% purity assay, and it competitively priced with competitors’ products.
