The first products featuring the new seal – developed by The Global Pulse Confederation - are expected to hit shelves before the end of the year, said the confederation, which says it provides shoppers with “an easy way to identify products that are good for people and good for the planet."
To carry the logo, dry peas, lentils and chickpeas must be one of the top five ingredients by weight, and account for at least 5% of the whole formulation by weight.
