Pork company Smithfield Foods has entered into a partnership with amusement park Six Flags to be the official hot dog supplier to the multi-million dollar valued theme park corporation.

The meat company’s Nathan’s Famous brand will now be sold as the official hot dog at 15 of the Six Flags amusement and water parks in the USA this year, with more parks expected to start selling the hot dogs next year.

This partnership highlights our ability to deliver integrated platforms using our Six Flags Media Networks and experiential teams to drive sales at retail, while offering quality products to our guests.​”

‘A natural fit’

The theme park’s media networks will support the multi-year partnership through TV, mobile apps and social media promotion.

To support the new deal, Six Flags and Smithfield Foods brand Nathan’s Famous will offer special consumer deals for park tickets through the partnership.

Nathan’s Famous hot dogs​ are already sold in 50 US states, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, the Cayman Islands and a string of other countries through a foodservice network.

Smithfield Foods​ owns packaged brand Nathan’s Famous, alongside more than a dozen other popular US meat brands. It also claims to be world’s largest pork processor and hog producer.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation claims to be the world’s largest regional theme park company, generating $1.3bn in revenue. It has partnered with some of the largest food companies in America, including Coca-Cola and Tyson Foods.
