Ceba-Tech Specialty Solutions takes majority stake in Flavor Producers Inc

Valencia, California-based flavors and extracts provider Flavor Producers Inc has been recapitalized via a strategic, majority investment from Ceba-Tech Specialty Solutions: a partnership between Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR and food industry veteran Charles A. Nicolais.

Following the deal, Flavor Producers - which operates three facilities and R&D groups in Valencia, CA; Cincinnati, OH, and Linden, NJ -will continue to grow organically and through acquisitions, said CEO Jeff Harris.

Founded in 1981, Flavor Producers Inc is a leading provider of custom flavors and extracts to the food and beverage industry, with a focus on organic and natural products, supplying 500+ emerging and multinational customers worldwide.

Launched in January 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri, Ceba-Tech is on a mission to build a market-leading platform in the specialty chemicals, materials and ingredients industry.
