Firmenich to acquire organic flavors specialist Natural Flavors Inc
Firmenich is expanding its presence in the organic flavors market via a deal to acquire New Jersey-based Natural Flavors, Inc.
Recognized as a pioneer in organic flavoring, having developed and commercialized the first organic certified flavors in North America during the late 1990s, Natural Flavors is a second generation family-owned business.
“By joining Firmenich, we are confident Natural Flavors is positioned to realize its full potential,” said Jason Stein, executive VP, Natural Flavors.
“Our longstanding goal of providing our customers with high quality natural and organic flavors is perfectly complemented by Firmenich’s culture of innovation, creativity and its world-class regulatory team.”
The deal is subject to clearance by the relevant regulatory authorities and is expected to close by March 2018.
