Kerry acquires California-based vinegar maker and Oman-based culinary sauces maker

Kerry has struck a deal to acquire Fleischmann's Vinegar Company Inc and AATCO Food Industries LLC for c. €365m ($415m) in a move it claims will boost its foundational technology portfolio and strengthen its position in foodservice and developing markets.

The two firms have annualized revenues of approximately €150m ($171m), while the deals are expected to close by the end of the year.

The world's largest industrial vinegar producer, California-based Fleischmann's Vinegar​ ​is a USDA certified producer of specialty natural ingredients from apple cider vinegar to balsamic vinegar, with manufacturing facilities in Washington, New York, Maryland, Illinois, Missouri, Alabama and California.

Headquartered in Muscat, Oman, AATCO Food Industries​ is a leading provider of culinary sauces to the foodservice channel, with manufacturing facilities in Sohar, Oman, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Nashik, India.  

Its portfolio includes ketchups, mayonnaises, salad dressings, specialty sauces, coffee syrups, sweet sauces, toppings and sweet fillings.
