Available for home delivery via Amazon , PlantMade by Matthew Kenney is a new line of 30+ frozen plant-based entrees, bowls, snacks, burgers, and desserts developed by plant-based chef Matthew Kenney and Golden Platter Foods. Dishes include grilled cauliflower steak with wild rice, jackfruit carnitas over a grain medley trio, Korean meatless balls with fried rice, chickpea curry, coconut cream pie, and buffalo cauliflower. Sambazon's new acai bowls can be defrosted at room temperature for 10-15 minutes or microwaved for 10-15 seconds and stirred "until soft and creamy." Users can then garnish with the granola provided or create their own toppings. Served in 100% plant-fiber packaging that are recyclable and compostable, the bowls retail for just under $4 and can be found at Whole Foods nationwide and select Publix, Walmart, Albertson, Wegmans, H-E-B and Target stores. KIND vegan frozen smoothie bowls contain layers of smoothie (fruit & almondmilk), almond butter, and granola, and can be enjoyed straight out of the freezer as a frozen dessert or thawed for a slushier meal or snack. New light frozen desserts from So Delicious Dairy Free contain 330 calories or fewer per pint or " 45% percent fewer calories than average plant-based frozen desserts ," and are now available nationwide (SRP $5.49). Made from ultra-filtered milk, fairlife lactose-free light ice cream has 8-9g protein per serving and 40% less sugar than traditional ice cream (available nationwide, SRP $4.98). Fairlife milk is made via a filtration process that separates milk into water, fat, protein, vitamins & minerals, and lactose (milk sugar) and then recombines them in different proportions to produce lactose-free milk with 50% more protein, 30% more calcium and 50% less sugar than regular milk. Enfamil's latest formula features milk proteins from cows that only produce A2 beta casein protein in their milk (most produce A2 and A1, the latter being associated with digestive discomfort in some people), and higher-than-usual levels of the long-chain omega-3 fatty acid DHA (0.2%-0.36%). Fruit smoothies from noosa combine its signature wholemilk yogurt with fruit purees (SRP $1.99/7oz bottle). There are four flavors: strawberry, mixed berry, strawberry banana, and mango. Made from whole milk skyr, Icelandic Provisions' new Fruit & Nuts line is launching at Whole Foods, and will be available in a wider selection of retailers in 2021. Each cup contains 9g sugar and 11g protein. Sassy Lassi kids' yogurt pouches are made with three organic ingredients: Cultured, grade A whole milk, fruit juice, and cane sugar. Each 3.5oz pouch is treated with HPP (high pressure processing) and contains live, active cultures: L. bulgaricus, S. thermophilus, L. acidophilus, Bifidus, L. casei, L. rhamnosus. Available in Whole Foods, HEB, Central Market, and Walmart, the pouches come in two flavors: Strawmazing Strawberry and Berry Blue Blueberry. Diamond of California's new snack walnuts line (SRP $3.99/4oz bag) comes in eight flavors and is now available at chains including Walmart, Kroger, Lidl, Hannaford, and Hy-Vee. The company - which has pioneered a process that eliminates naturally-occurring surface oils and tannins that can give walnuts a bitter flavor - says a roasting and glazing step helps to bring out nutty flavor notes. SunOpta, best known for organic ingredient sourcing and production, has moved into the snack bar segment with the nationwide launch of certified organic arbor fruit bars made from dried fruit with zero added sugar. The 30g bars, which come in three flavors – Apple + Berries, Apple + Blueberry, and Apple + Raspberry – contain 3g fiber and 100 calories. VK Energy Bars - a new line of vitamin B12-infused bars developed by celebrity Chef Vikki Krinsky - come in three flavors: Almond rosemary; meyer pistachio; and cocoa & sea salt. Each 52g bar contains 12g protein and a whopping 10g fiber, plus 24mcg of vitamin B12. Mezcla plant-based protein bars - which launched last month in 625 Walmart stores - contain 10g protein and 170 calories, and come in three flavors: Japanese matcha vanilla; Peruvian cocoa peanut butter; and Mexican chipotle hot chocolate. Aavailable on the Fat Snax website and Amazon, new keto-friendly gluten-free almondflour crackers from Fat Snax come in three flavors: Original, Cheddar, and Everything (But the Carbs!). Each serving contains 1-2 net carbs, Og sugar, and 7g fat. New Packed energy bars from Nature Valley ($4.49/box of four) are creamy, crunchy and chewy, and feature nuts, nut butter, seeds, and berries. KitKat Duos mocha + chocolate will be available in stores nationwide from November in standard size ($1.11/1.5 oz) and king size ($1.66/3 oz) bars. Caliper Swiftsticks promise to deliver a "faster and tastier way to consume CBD. " Sold in single-serve packets of flavored CBD powder that dissolves directly on the tongue, they will launch on September 1. Flora 'Plant Butter' from Upfield - available at select Kroger stores - is a '79% plant-based oil spread packaged in paper, that " tastes, spreads, cooks and bakes like dairy butter," but is made from palm kernel and palm oil, water, sunflower and canola oil, sunflower lecithin, faba bean protein, citric acid, natural flavor, beta carotene (color), and vitamin A palmitate. Koia's new Thrive oatmilk-based functional beverages feature on-trend herbs such as ashwagandha and turmeric. With an SRP of $3.99/10oz bottle, they are available at Whole Foods, Sprouts and other natural and specialty locations and feature 6-8g protein and 3-5g sugar. New wellness shots from Four Sigmatic include vitamins, chaga and lion's mane mushrooms, and other on-trend ingredients such as elderberry, ginger, and guayusa. There are three varieties: Adaptogen Immune Support, Adaptogen Focus, and Adaptogen Beauty (SRP $24/box of six). Natalie's Juice has launched two new functional beverage blends: 'Nourish' and 'Immunity' available at grocers nationwide and through the Natalie's e-commerce site ($2.99/10oz bottle). Silly Juice - available at SillyJuice.com ($15.95 for a 12-pack) - contains filtered water, fruit juices from concentrate, sugar, natural flavors, and citric acid. New non-dairy creamers from Starbucks and Nestlé combine almondmilk and oatmilk, and are now rolling out to retailers' refrigerated dairy aisles nationwide. There are two flavors: caramel and hazelnut. Happy Baby Nutty Blends pouches were developed as a convenient way to introduce peanuts and tree nuts into babies' diets in accordance with recent recommendations from the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. Each Happy Baby Nutty Blends pouch contains 1 gram of peanut or tree nut protein blended with fruits. Flavors include: Bananas & Peanuts, Apples & Walnuts, Bananas & Almonds, and Pears & Cashews.
