PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new 115,000-square-foot distribution facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado this week.

With anticipated completion in early 2024, the facility will span 12 acres—the size of 12 football fields—and include approximately 6,500 square feet of office space, 4,000 square feet for fleet vehicles, and 1,800 square- feet for Pepsi Equipment Services.

PepsiCo champions the environmental considerations of the building, which include solar power for charging delivery fleet pallet jacks, a roof designed to support future solar expansion and LED motion-controlled light fixtures.

The Colorado Springs facility will expand supply chain operations for popular product brands such as Pepsi, Gatorade, Celsius, and Rockstar; as well as  boosting future growth in Southern Colorado.

PBNA executives and local dignitaries were among those attending the groundbreaking, including Shawn Early, Market Director, PepsiCo Beverages North America.

With a presence in Colorado since 1936, PBNA is furthering its investment in the Colorado Springs community as it continues to grow through sustainable business solutions and job opportunities for its residents,” says the company.

“The new Colorado Springs facility is PBNA's latest project as part of its investment in the local community, including the company’s recent Pecos facility and Denver High Point plant, its largest and most sustainable plant in the US.”
