The clean label movement may have started as a simple push to remove artificial or ‘chemical’ sounding ingredients from products, but for today’s shoppers this requirement is merely table stakes. Modern shoppers have broadened their definition of ‘clean’ and ‘natural’ to include transparency into how a product is produced and manufactured, how those processes are impacting the health of the planet, how the final product will impact their health and finally how companies’ social missions and business ethics impact the health of the community at large.
During this one hour panel discussion led by FoodNavigator-USA Deputy Editor Elizabeth Crawford with Q&A from attendees at the end, we will hear from industry leaders how their companies keeping pace with consumers’ evolving demands around clean and natural. We will also look at the influence of organic and regenerative farming techniques on natural consumers’ purchasing decisions, and how innovative manufacturing techniques continue to reshape consumer expectations around taste, presentation and shelf life of natural products.
