Cargill to double canola production in Canada
Cargill is to build a second canola processing plant in Canada in a move to meet growing demand for tans fat-free oil, the firm announced yesterday.

Syngenta takes sugar beet back to the tropics
Syngenta has developed a variety of sugar beet for cultivation in tropical climates that is expected to boost output and farmer income, and has initiated two products to develop its use for food and biofuel in India.
