Precision fermentation player scales OvoPro production, with 550% growth in first four months of 2026

Animal-free egg white manufacturer The Every Company is quadrupling its manufacturing output due to explosive growth, following the product’s nationwide rollout of its flagship product, OvoPro, at Walmart and Target, the company announced in mid-June.

The company said that annual orders for OvoPro, produced via precision fermentation, grew 550% in the first four months of 2026 compared to the entire 2025 volume.

“This surge is driven by strong adoption across B2B retail channels, including national placement in Target and Walmart, and to satisfy growing demand across e-commerce and foodservice channels,” the company said.

Fermentation in Bulgaria

Every Company’s product partner, Huvepharma, through its subsidiary Biovet AD, will expand the production at its facility in Bulgaria, which operates more than 9 million liters of fermentation capacity.

“Scaling to meet the world’s appetite for consistent, stable protein requires more than just great science; it requires world-class manufacturing partners,” said Arturo Elizondo, CEO and co-founder of The Every Company. “Huvepharma has been an instrumental partner in our journey from the bench to industrial scale.

“Quadrupling our capacity today is a direct response to the market’s clear signal: The food industry is ready for egg proteins that deliver parity on performance without the supply chain challenges endemic in the global egg supply chain.”

The expansion is largely focused on OvoPro, the company’s ovalbumin protein, which can be used as a binding agent and a protein-enriching ingredient for baked goods, bars, snacks, confections and pasta.

OvoPro is shelf-stable for two years and does not require cold-chain storage or transportation.

Biovet’s fermentation infrastructure is used by companies from more than 100 countries, according to Anguel Jeliazkov, chief executive director of Biovet AD.

“Bringing that capacity to Every’s protein platform is a natural extension of what we do. We do not just scale processes – we industrialize them. That is the value we bring to this partnership, and the results so far demonstrate it clearly,“ he said.

OvoPro at home

Every Company expanded beyond B2B sales in March with the launch of its Animal-Free Egg White Protein Powder for consumers.

The product can be purchased on Amazon and through Healthier Comforts, the direct-to-consumer (DTC) supplier of the animal-free protein powder.

“Prior to this launch, Every’s ingredients were available exclusively to food and beverage manufacturers in bulk quantities. Healthier Comforts’ Animal-Free Egg White Protein Powder is the first consumer product to repack OvoPro in a retail-ready format, making Every’s egg white protein accessible to home cooks and bakers for the first time,” the company said.

The Every Company said a soft launch on Healthier Comforts’ website in December prompted an enthusiastic discussion of the product in vegan communities on Reddit.

Growth at Every Company

The company’s rapid growth is attracting investors, prompting the Daly City, Calif.-based maker to hire its first chief revenue officer in April, Mario Patiño.

“He is a sales leader known for navigating companies through periods of rapid global expansion, especially across international markets,” The Every Company said.

The business also made headlines in November, raising $55 million in Series D financing led by McWin Capital Partners.

“This new injection of capital will allow us to make good on our promise of making products that are accessible to everyone – in every state, every city and every grocery store,” Elizondo said.
