As the alternative protein industry continues to wade through challenging macroeconomics, the sector might have reasons to be more optimistic in 2024, with investment activity picking up and more companies obtaining commercial approval across the globe, Sebastian Sbuttoni, co-founder and conference director of The Future of Protein Production, told FoodNavigator-USA.
