Champagne-sipping rodents enjoy better brain health – September 2013
Aside from the lovely headline possibilities such a story offers, this University of Reading study could have tantalizing implications for humans.
Aged rodents fed Champagne (1.78ml/kg by weight) for six weeks had improved spatial working memory through changes in hippocampal signaling and protein expression.
Co-author David Vanzour said he wishes to corroborate the rodent results in humans.
