Walmart promotes Tony Rogers to role of US chief marketing officer
From here we go to Walmart, which has appointed Tony Rogers as its US chief marketing officer. Rogers – who has been leading Walmart’s marketing activities in China - succeeds Stephen Quinn (who is retiring) and will work closely with ex-Target exec Michael Francis, who has been hired as a marketing consultant.
The changes come at a challenging time for Walmart, which has just announced plans to close 269 stores, more than half of which are in the US - including all 102 Walmart Express stores.
