May - PepsiCo recalls Tropicana Kids Orange Juice
PepsiCo recalled 277 units of Tropicana Kids Orange Juice Drinks multi-packs due to microbiological contamination.
The affected cartons contained only water, rather than the orange juice blend and the water was described as being of an unsatisfactory quality due to microbiological contamination.
The products included in the recall contained no batch or date codes and there was no branding on the individual cartons.
A PepsiCo spokeswoman attributed the error to the accidental dispatch of samples from a production test procedure using water that was not up to the firm's standards.
