The billionaire Batista brothers in charge of meatpacker JBS have had their suspensions – imposed following corruption allegations – lifted by a federal judge in Brazil.
The American Meat Institute’s (AMI’s) board of directors voted to proceed with the proposed merger with the North American Meat Association (NAMA) yesterday (2 April).
Cranberry co-operative Ocean Spray voted on Saturday for a clean
slate - replacing most of its board with a brand new set of faces -
in the wake of lagging cranberry prices and a bid from rival
Northland Cranberries.
