JANUARY: Mice in cans, jelly anyone?
PepsiCo was busy fighting claims by a consumer, in January, that he had found a dead mouse in a can of Mountain Dew, with a scientist testifying that there was no way that the creature could have passed the canning process intact. This followed a similar case in Iowa last April, when a 19-year-old man claimed to have found a mouse (pictured) in a can of Monster Energy Drink.
