Gluten-free, plant-based foods expert Boulder Brands creates new R&D, demand planning roles
Next we look at two new additions to the team at Colorado-based Boulder Brands, which owns the Udi’s and Glutino gluten-free brands, the Earth Balance plant-based foods brand, the Smart Balance spreads brand, the EVOL frozen food brand, and the Level Life diabetes management brand.
Kerin Kennedy has joined as senior vice president, research & development; while Ken Woeste has joined as vice president, demand planning. Both report to chief operating officer Jim Leighton.
Kennedy has 25+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, most of it spent on natural food products. She joins Boulder Brands from Precision Kitchen Food Group, where she was owner and founder.
Woeste has 27+ years of experience in demand planning in food products and comes to Boulder Brands from Hain Celestial, where he was senior director of forecasting.
The appointments were announced as Boulder Brands said it would divide itself into two segments:
Natural (led by TJ McIntyre), comprising the Udi's, Glutino, and EVOL brands.
Balance (led by Duane Primozich), comprising the Smart Balance, Earth Balance and Level Life brands.
