Kraft shakes up leadership team
Next we head to Kraft, which has unveiled a series of changes to its executive leadership team three months after chairman John Cahill replaced Tony Vernon as CEO.
- George Zoghbi is the new chief operating officer ( he is currently vice chairman, operations, R&D, sales and strategy);
- Chris Kempczinski is the new EVP, growth initiatives, and president of international (he currently leads Kraft's Canada business unit);
- Jane Hilk, executive vice president and president, enhancers & snack nuts, has been appointed interim chief marketing officer until a replacement is found for Deanie Elsner, who is leaving on February 28.
- Teri List-Stoll (chief financial officer), is also leaving on Feb 28, and will be replaced by James Kehoe, the CFO of Canadian apparel maker Gildan Activewear, who had spent more than two decades at Kraft before joining Gildan.
- Chuck Davis (EVP of research, development, quality and innovation); is also leaving the company, but will remain until a successor is named.
Speaking on the firm's Q4 earnings call on Thursday, Cahill said: "We've done fine. This is not a broken company by any stretch. But we do need to adapt a turnaround mindset in many ways (click HERE for details)."
