Walmart appoints Steve Bratspies as chief merchandising officer for US stores
Next we head to Walmart, which has promoted Steve Bratspies - previously executive vice president of food for the US business – to the role of chief merchandising officer for the firm’s 4,500+ US stores, effective October 19.
Bratspies will be replaced by Charles Redfield, who most recently served as executive vice president of merchandising at Sam’s Club; while Redfield's role will in turn be filled by John Furner (formerly chief merchandising and marketing officer at Walmart China).
Finally, Brett Biggs will succeed Charles Holley as chief financial officer on December 31, 2015.
