RUNA recruits a CEO
Guayusa-fueled ‘clean energy’ brand Runa has also hired a new CEO – former Hain Celestial general manager Alex Galindez – while co-founder Tyler Gage has moved into the role of chairman.
Gage – who will continue to oversee Runa’s farming and sourcing initiatives in Ecuador (where it sources guayusa leaves, a natural source of caffeine) – told BevNET he could now “focus on being on the front lines to share the story and the mission of what we do.”
Prior to joining Hain Celestial (where she focused on cold-pressed juice brand BluePrint), Galindez held marketing roles at Facebook, Univision, Burger King, glaceau and Red Bull.
