Uncle Ben’s is now ‘Ben’s Original,’ says brand owner Mars Inc, which like several leading CPG players including PepsiCo (Aunt Jemima) and Conagra Brands (Mrs Butterworth’s), has been under pressure to address racial stereotypes enshrined in its legacy brands.
