Ingredion appoints Ricardo de Abreu Souza as SVP and president, South America Ingredient Solutions, effective January 2014
Ingredion has appointed Ricardo de Abreu Souza as senior vice president, and president, South America Ingredient Solutions, effective January 1, 2014.
He will replace Julio dos Reis, who will retire on December 31, 2013.
Ricardo de Abreu Souza joined Ingredion’s Brazilian affiliate in 1977 as a process engineer and held multiple roles in the business including plant manager at its Balsa Nova facility.
From 1990 to 1994, he worked at the South American regional level in Brazil and New Jersey before joining the Mexican business in 1994 as high fructose corn syrup project business manager.
Over the next 12 years, he held various senior positions in the Mexican affiliate before being named president and general manager in 2010.
