Sugar is the new dietary bogeyman
And when it comes to weight management, says IFIC, consumers are more focused on sugar than fat these days, with the percentage claiming that sugars are the “source of calories most likely to cause weight gain” increasing from 21% to 27% over the past year, while the percentage believing fats are most likely to cause weight gain decreased from 15% to 13%.
