Giant Food invests $175m to update existing stores

Giant Food, a regional grocery chain in the Washington D.C. area, has invested $175m to remodel 24 of its existing stores and open a new store location over the next two years.

Launched in Chicago earlier this year, Matt n' Mikes is aiming to add a natural retailer (either Whole Foods or Fresh Thyme) account to its distribution by the end of 2019.
