Beverage industry veteran Michael Sachs joins Icelandic Glacial Water team
Next we go to Icelandic Water Holdings, the firm behind ‘carbon neutral’ natural spring water Icelandic Glacial, which has recruited Michael Sachs as director of global marketing.
Sachs, who has worked for 16+ years in the beverage category, and was formerly president and co-founder of Code Blue Recovery Drink, has also worked for Bacardi USA as marketing manager for Grey Goose Vodka.
Separately, Icelandic Water Holdings has also hired Daniel Gadomski - who has 20+ years’ experience in the trade at brands including Steaz Tea, O.N.E Coconut water and Sparkletts Water - as director of national accounts.
Born and bottled in Ölfus, Iceland, Icelandic Glacial claims to be the world’s first certified CarbonNeutral natural spring bottled water for both product and operations.
The firm, which uses geothermal and hydroelectric power to fuel production, sources its water from the Hlíðarendi Spring, part of the Ölfus Spring System in Iceland, a naturally replenished catchment zone formed during a volcanic eruption more than 5,000 years ago.
The water - which is distributed in the US by Anheuser-Busch (which owns a 20% stake) - has a naturally-occurring low mineral content and naturally high pH level of 8.4.
