Nestlé reboots Lean Cuisine, shifts focus from dieting to highlight ‘chef-inspired’ credentials
Nestlé, meanwhile, is hoping its reboot of Lean Cuisine will change perceptions of the brand by highlighting its culinary credentials, creating “a modern eating brand and ally for women’s wellness”.
According to Nestlé, women are bored of messages around dieting, and instead, “want chef-inspired, ethnic dishes that offer a variety of attributes and bold yet simple packaging that stands out in the aisles”.
As part of the transformation, Lean Cuisine is introducing ten new recipes including Pomegranate Chicken, Sweet Sriracha Braised Beef, Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken, Mushroom & Spring Pea Risotto and Cheese & Bean Enchilada Verde.
In its results on August 13, Nestlé said the reboot looked to be paying off, with early signs proving “promising”.
