Ferrara significantly expands organic candy line
Following the success of its Black Forest Organic gummies, launched in 2015, Ferrara Candy Co is now expanding its line of USDA certified organic candies with Fruity Chews, Sour Heads, Candy Drops and Caramel Hard Candies, which will be backed by a $10m ad campaign.
According to CEO Todd Siwak, who is on a mission to double sales to $2bn by 2020: “We invested more than $25m in the development of a complete organic infrastructure to produce high quality, delicious tasting organic confections offered at a reasonable premium compared to non-organic versions.”
The candy contains no artificial flavors and uses colors from natural sources such as carrots, turmeric and red beets, said Ferrara (booth #1735 at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago May 24-26).
